This specialized vessel is designed to hold a spirit hydrometer (alcometer) while the spirit flows directly from the condenser into the parrot and then out to your collection vessel. Constructed from high-quality 304 stainless steel, it provides a sanitary and durable environment for your high-proof spirits. It ensures you can make precise “cuts” (Heads, Hearts, Tails) by providing a continuous reading of the ABV.
Distiller’s Safety Note: To ensures accurate readings, place the parrot on a level surface. Ensure your hydrometer has enough clearance to float freely without touching the bottom or sides of the internal tube. The 304SS construction is safe for high-proof ethanol and is easy to sanitize between runs. Always monitor the spirit temperature, as hydrometer accuracy is calibrated to a specific temperature (typically 60°F or 68°F).
